Whilst living in Holland Dvora Davis worked hard establishing herself as a successful singer and songwriter. She recently wrote an album, which is a collaboration with Jochem Julius Braat, a very talented composer, arranger and pianist. This collection of works is titled ‘A Simple Affair’ taken from the title of one of their songs.

It is a dynamic collection of feels from modern to beautiful standards. The songs are on love, relationships and people and Dvora and Jochem are a superb combination. Dvora say’s ‘I am stunned, we come together and there is an explosion of creativity. Finding the right person to work with in music is never easy.... We are blessed.’

 

She recently had a successful tour in Russia.

Dvora has had great reviews in Holland, Germany and Spain.

She has a unique warm and dynamic voice she takes hold of you everytime. It is a one of a kind voice that rings out loud and true, whatever she sings you believe. She is a storyteller. a strong songwriter and live performer. Songs can be heard from her jazz album of original compositions 'A Simple Affair'. She is not just reserved for original compositions but she knows a vast array of known and not so known jazz standards and recently added to her repetoire most of the wonderful scores from past James Bond Films.

Her Most recent collaboration is with a Berlin Based musician, guitarist David Beck. A beautiful combination of his great style and Dvora's  pure vocals. Their combination is special.......

Dvora Davis is Engelse, maar woonde behalve in Londen ook langere tijd in de Verenigde Staten en Spanje. Ze bewoog zich als zangeres in verschillende genres, maar in haar hart is en blijft ze vooral jazz-zangeres. In Londen trad ze langere tijd op met een vast orkest - samen met de talentvolle jazz-violist Nico Beadle - maar ook als gast bij onder andere Jamie Cullum. Ze woont momenteel in Amsterdam. Naast de vertolking van bekende en wat minder bekende standards uit het American Songbook schrijft ze ook eigen composities...
